Smothered Pork Chops
Serves 4
4 pork chops
1 cup flour
2 tsp thyme
2 tsp parsley
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 egg
1 Tbs milk
2 Tbs veg oil
2 cans cr. mushroom soup
½ cup milk
½ tsp pepper
Combine flour, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper.
Whip together egg and 1 Tsp milk.
Preheat oil in skillet.
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
Coat chops with the egg mixture then coat with flour mixture.
Brown chops in skillet.
Mix together ½ cup of milk and the soup.
Put a thin layer of soup mixture in bottom of large baking dish.
Place browned chops in baking dish.
Pour remaining soup mixture over the chops.
Bake chops for 40 to 50 minutes until done according to thickness of chops.
Let rest 5 minutes, then serve.
