Loosing Friendships

Losing friendships is like an ice cube sliding down the back of your throat,
It’s cold and it’s hard, you feel you can’t cope.

I guess there may be light at the end of the tunnel and more friendships I will gain,
Life goes on as others say, but still I can’t handle this pain.

The current friendships I cherish,
Never did I see that nearly all of my friendships would perish.

Hold your friendships close to heart,
For your true friendships will never part

As I stare out the window watching it pour with rain,
I have learned that time doesn't always heal this pain.
It's the pain of loosing your best friends,
I try to get on with life, try to make a mends.
Gaining friendships is one of my aspirations in life,
You never think that you could be stabbed in the chest with a knife.
When best friends do this I find it hard to channel my aggression,
Instead I sit and suffer depression.
The friends that have hurt me in my life I won't ever forget,
These friends that I trusted and now wish I had never met.
